Annual Symposium - March 2026

On Monday, March 9, we held the annual symposium in the university’s conference hall. The theme of the event was "Why English-Taught Degree Programs (T-GLIPs) Now? Educational Philosophy, Program Design, and Practice”.

Following an opening speech by President Ohashi, the first session featured presentations by Professor Takeo Inamori of Okayama University and Professor Kiyoko Yokota of the State University of New York at Oneonta. The second session consisted of a panel discussion with faculty members from the Department of Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Urban Environmental Sciences, which will launch its English-Taught Degree Program in 2027.

For the first time, two career guidance counselors from high schools in Tokyo attended the event, offering valuable perspectives from the high schools, making this a highly meaningful symposium.
