Biology and Art - July 2023

30 July UNESCO – International Day of Friendship

Friendships in science play an essential role in propelling discoveries forward. Scientists, friends, and colleagues are more likely to exchange ideas openly, challenge each other’s hypotheses, and provide constructive criticism. This camaraderie creates a supportive environment where individuals feel safe to take risks and explore unconventional approaches. Moreover, friendships in science go beyond the laboratory, offering support when the experiments fail. Such relationships enhance the scientific community and inspire younger generations. In science, friendships serve as a catalyst, igniting passion and fueling the pursuit of knowledge.

The rules are simple: 5-7-5, there is no seasonal reference word (a kigo), but your poem must relate to either biology or the topic of the month, and you are writing in English.

human friendship’s code, like DNA,
life’s harmony sings
