Annual Symposium in March
On March 11, 2024, we held an annual symposium "From Pencils to Pixels: Embracing AI Technologies for Enhanced Academic Writing", a hybrid of ZOOM and face-to-face.
Approximately 30 people participated in person, and 15 people participated via Zoom. Starting with President Ohashi's opening remarks, in the first part, faculty members who teach at universities in Japan, USA, and New Zealand introduced a wide range of ways to utilize AI in the classroom. Their presentations provided unique ideas and the latest techniques you can use immediately. The participants listened intently and actively joined in the question-and-answer session.
The second part was a poster session by students who participated in the Global Communication Camp. They presented their research and shared their experience at the State University of New York at Oneonta in February, where they organized a student research symposium. Their active discussion with visitors shows their achievements as global young scientists.
