They learned many English phrases to use for brainstorming and discussions, how to handle situations when they do not know what to say at all during their speech, useful proverbs for their speeches and essays, common ways to greet others on campus when abroad, and interesting western gestures. I received questions positively from students after class, such as how to improve their listening and conversation skills, how to choose their graduate school in the US, how to expand their examples to support their reasons on essays, and how to practice Speaking. Learning English little by little will open a door for these students in the future.
